Keeper of Thresholds
Keeper of Thresholds is one of my favorite ways to describe Ganesha because it's symbolic rather than literal.
A threshold is more than a doorway—it's the point between who you were and who you're becoming.
It can be:
- The moment before you begin something meaningful.
- Leaving behind an old identity.
- Starting a business, relationship, or creative pursuit.
- Walking into the unknown.
- Choosing courage over fear.
- Crossing from limitation into possibility.
As the Keeper of Thresholds, Ganesha is the guardian of these moments of transition. In Hindu tradition, he is honored before embarking on new endeavors because he represents wisdom, discernment, and the ability to move through obstacles. Rather than simply "granting success," he symbolizes entering the next chapter with clarity and purpose.
A reminder that every obstacle is an invitation to evolve, every ending conceals another beginning, and every step taken with intention shapes the person you become.
Crafted on a heavyweight, vintage-washed black hoodie, the artwork pairs timeless spiritual symbolism with a worn-in streetwear aesthetic. The distressed hood, pocket, cuffs, and hem, along with a subtle tonal fade, create the look of a garment that has traveled with you—gaining character through every experience. More than a hoodie, it is a reminder that every obstacle is an opportunity to evolve.
